HEALTHY HOOVES “Barefoot Horses On A Track System”

March 3 @ 10:30 am - 4:30 pm

Healthy Hooves “Barefoot Horses on a Track System” Saturday March 3rd.

We have chosen this date very carefully as it is the time of year when laminitis rears it’s  head, with the rich fresh grass of Spring.  If you have concerns around this subject be sure to join us on 3rd March.

This has always been a very popular workshop and tends to book up quickly. Is is full of information to help us keep our barefoot horses healthy so be prepared to take lots of notes.

If you would like to learn more about keeping your horses hooves healthy, find out about suitable nutrition and the benefits of varying surfaces on a paddock paradise type track system then this is the day for you. Plenty of opportunity to share ideas and spend time with like minded people throughout the day.

Garry Hinton is the facilitator on the day and is a qualified barefoot trimmer working with Hoofing Marvellous.

Garry trained with Liberated Horsemanship, his workshop is full of useful information and he is always willing to advise and share his knowledge with all.

The day will start at 10.30am . Discussions about the benefits to your horse of being barefoot and how to transition from shod to barefoot.

Nutrition and discussion of various natural feed options and much much more.

A vegetarian lunch will be provided along with refreshments throughout the day.

Many interesting topics will be covered including the benefit of herbs in the horses diet and their innate ability to pick what is good for them.

We have quite an extensive track system here along with a watering hole and Mike will give a short talk explaining how we created it and why, also the effects the varying type of terrain has had on our horses hooves.  Everyone is welcome to a tour around the tracks.

Throughout the day there will be plenty of opportunity for questions and answers.

If you would like to be part of this day you can book via paypal through the store on our website. The total cost for the day is £80 per person including a vegetarian lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

Numbers will be limited so early booking is advisable.

Hope to see you here

To book simply go to the store, click on workshops and you will be able to pay via paypal.

“Don’t remember an event quite like it! The introduction to why Paradise Paddocks are good for horse and hoof left me with my brain whizzing all kinds of creative ways that we can use yard area, banks, Devon banks, fields and woods to give the horses a healthier life. Thank you to everyone at Horse Haven for a wonderful time. Food is out of this world delish!!! Met some fascinating people on the course. Highly informative and all the stuff that the vet has already suggested would be good for the horses.
