Thank goodness for the watering hole at Horse Haven Uk.

What a great way to cool down in this hot weather.

    Hello
    Can you help me or advise on building a waterhole please. I have a track system and have actually built a pond but it is on heavy clay and only one of our horses is strong enough to get out of the clay (she’s a gypsy cob). I would like to build another, what do you have at the bottom of your waterhole.

      Hi Anne. We are on peat here on the Somerset Levels. We had to dig our pond out and line it with clay. We were very fortunate to find some enormous concrete slabs which were originally walls from a prefab building so they went on top of the clay. Never had a problem and all 6 of our horses go in there on a regular basis. It’s a tricky one. Keep looking at reclamation yards.
